Our daughter and family will be arriving tomorrow which I am looking forward to them being here. I just wish all the other kids and their families and my mom could be here too. We are really spread out across the states to make it happen.

I was going to spread my posts out over a few days and each day something happened so here they are all at one time! They are all in the latest edition of Through The Craft Room Door Magazine if you would like to see any of the details. Have a very blessed Easter and if you don't celebrate Easter - have a great weekend everyone:)

Lots of Love For Lauryn Card Drive

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....

Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.

Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

My three cards:

This card has both Verses,  butterfly and Lauryn digi images that anyone who donates will receive
- plus a few more!

First verse:

Hope is the thing with feathers
that perches in the sole and
sings the tunes
without the words- and never stops at all.  (Emily Dickerson)

Second verse:

Beloved, let us
love one another,
for love is from
God
-1 John 4:7

I added a silver cross for Lauryn to wear when she's all better.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/ Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn via a Facebook page that has been set up by some family. It is Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared how encouraging it is receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement that is posted.
Special thanks to those that have helped get this
Card Drive, not only the ladies that have organized
it but specifically: Nina Brackett
who designed the beautiful blog badge.

We also want to thank the wonderful artists who through their generosity donated images to give out with a donation to Lauryn and her family. As you can imagine costs add up quickly during an  extended stay in the hospital.
Claire Keay for Jellypark, Tracey Malnofski of The Stamping Boutique, Cec Wintonyk at Sugar Creek Hollow, Philomena O'Neill (Phindy's)
 and Sandi Huggett.

For all donations you will receive the beautiful creative images  here.

To all that have shared, Your work brings a smile to
our face and we hope the love and gift you have
so willingly given will come back to you all tenfold.

If this story touches your heart to do so, please see the
donate button in our sidebar where you can
make a donation to this wonderful family.

Some sponsors have offered some blog candy for this Card Drive and all you need to do is leave a comment here by Friday, April 18th at 12:00 (EST).

We have some very generous people who have donated prizes for our big Card Drive Blog Hop! Please be sure to tell them thank you for their kindness! :)

Happy Tuesday. I'll Always Be There

Hello Happy Crafters! They say the older you get the faster the time flies by and it is so true. I can't believe we are in April already but happy we are for that means warmer weather is on the way!  Yesterday I took on an adventure that had me quite busy.  One of the DT's from TTCRD, Linda Payne, granddaughter was taken to the hospital  for what they thought was a virus. She was diagnose with Leukemia and rushed to Children's Hospital in  Washington, DC and started on chemotherapy. Did you know the first dose of chemo takes 35-40 days? So two year old Lauryn will be in the hospital for over a month the first time and it will continue treatment for at least three years with in and out admissions.  The leukemia has affected 35% of her body and her one leg has already atrophy (muscles wasted away.) We started a fund drive for Lauryn to offset the out of pocket expenses which is quite a bit. If you would like to help please use the donate button on the right hand side of the blog.

My card below was made for Linda and dear friend Trina -  you can see the details in Through The Craft Room Door Magazine located at: craftrmdoor.ning.com. I cased Susan Siereki's card for I love it and thought it was perfect for when you want to tell someone how much you care.

It's sunny outside! Easter cards

Oh my gosh!! I literally took a picture of this beautiful sunny day! We have waited so long to see the start of Spring and holy mackeral  I think we see it:) LOL if you know me - I have been complaining about snow and cold forever.  I am from Pittsburgh PA and lived in Florida for five years.  We moved back up north for I so missed the seasons and mountains - now I ask myself: "Were you crazy!?" I surely was or insane not sure which:)

Today I am sharing an Easter Card which was in "Through The Craft Room Door" magazine. Are you familiar with it? This issue has over 16 tutorials and tons of inspiration!  The tutorials, photo's, articles do not have a single advertisement - which is nice for it's uncluttered:)

All the details are listed in the magazine! Come on and subscribe and in return you will receive 110 digi stamps to download!

Please accept my entry into the following challenges:
Stop by Through The Craft Room Challenge which is always "Anything Goes" for fantastic inspirations!
